XingMPEG Encoder2 - a software conversion tool for multimedia and web developers. The encoder takes popular digital video and audio formats like .avi and .wav, along with still images like .bmp and .jpeg and compresses them into MPEG format for file playback. As the first product designed from square one to support MMX™ technology, the XingMPEG Encoder2 is 2-3 times faster on a processor with MMX technology, achieving real-time (QSI resolution*) or near real-time (SIF resolution**) encoding speeds. These speeds were only previously attainable through expensive hardware MPEG solutions - a minute of QSIF resolution video encodes in 45 seconds on a 200MHz Pentium processor with MMX technology!
