Microchip offers a wide variety of development tools to support students and professor’s needs. This complete suite of development tools includes an integrated devlopment environment, programmers, in-circuit emulators, compilers, demonstration boards, and much more. Microchip offers these tools at a special price to students and professors.

MPLAB Integrated Development Environment is Microchip’s Windows based development platform for Microchip’s PICmicro microcontrollers. MPLAB offers a project manager and program text editor, a user configurable toolbar and a status bar which communicates editing and debugging information.

PICSTART Plus porves a highly flexible, yet low cost desing toolset to support Microchip’s PICmicro microcontrollers. PICSTART Plus runs under MPLAB and comes complete with assembler, simulator, programmer, and product sample.

PRO MATE II Universal Device Programmer programs Microchip’s PICmicro microcontrollers through uthe use of interchangeable socket modules. PRO MATE II comes with simulator and assembler software and operates in either stand-alone mode or connected to a host.

MPLAB ICE is Microchip’s new high-performance real-time, in-circuit emulator system which features MPLAB Integrated Development Environment. Running under Windows, the MPLAB ICE emulator’s modular platform allows easy migration to and from other PICmicro devices through the use of interchangeable Processor Modules.

MPLAB-C17 is Microchip’s high level C compiler supporting Microchip’s high end family of microcontollers. MPLAB-C17 is compatible with MPLAB Integrated Development Environment.

PICDEM demonstration boards demonstrate the capabilities of Microchip’s PICmicro microcontrollers. Hardware that runs basic demonstration programs supplied on disk is included.

SERIAL EEPROM DESIGNER’S KIT includes everything necessary to read, write, erase or program special features of any Microchip Serial EEPROM device including Smart Serials and secure serials.

KEELOQ evaluation kit and programming tools support Microchip’s HCS secure data products. Students can evaulate the "code hopping" devices for security application projects.

fuzzyTECH-MP fuzzy logic development tools are available in two versions, the fuzzyTECH-MP Edition, a full-featured development system, or fuzzyTECH-MP Explorer, a limited tool set. Both versions are designed to help students gain a basic understanding of fuzzy logic systems design.
