1.0 Product Description

LanSafe Explorer is a flexible demonstration and training tool that provides a
comprehensive cavalcade of LanSafe features and functionality.

NOTE: A UPS connection is NOT required to be able to run this application.

2.0 System Requirements

Supported Platforms
- Windows

Windows Minimum Requirements
- 200 MHz processor
- 64 MB of RAM
- 50 MB of available hard-disk space
- Monitor resolution must be at least 1024 by 768 with 16 bit color 
(thousand of colors)

3.0 Windows Installation
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Navigate to the LanSafe software download section of the Powerware web site.

2. Click the 'LanSafeExplorer_ExtractMe.exe' link.

3. In the File Download dialog box, click Open.
   The file may take a minute or two to download.

4. On the WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box, click the 'Unzip' button.

5. After the files are extracted, click OK and then click Close.

6. Run Windows Explorer and navigate to the 'C:\LanSafe Explorer' directory.

7. While holding down the 'Alt' button on your keyboard, drag-and-drop 'LanSafeExplorer.exe' 
onto the Windows desktop to create a shortcut.

8. Double-Click the 'LanSafe Explorer' shortcut on the Windows desktop to launch the application.

4.0 Known Issues
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- When viewing the application with large fonts enabled, the splash screen
  appears with extra space in the dialog.

- When viewing the application with large fonts enabled with the display
  resolution set at 1024x768, some graphics will appear to be misplaced by a
  few pixels. To resolve the problem, use standard size fonts or increase the
  display resolution of your monitor.

- In the "How LanSafe Protects" section, the Previous Screen button does not
  function when the "Pause at each screen" check box is deselected.
