Agilent 34825A BenchLink Data Logger II for 34970A

1. Intel Hyper-Threading on non-XP Operating Systems.

 

Intel advises that Hyper-Threading be disabled when running non-XP Operating Systems.  For further information, see the following link:

The BenchLink Data Logger II is a multi-threaded application that may exhibit problems when Hyper-Threading is enabled on non-XP Operating Systems.  Problems isolated to this issue are listed below.  Please report any unusual behaviors that go away when Hyper-Threading is disabled.

 

·          The Scan Results Window stops updating after 2 or 3 hours of continuous scanning.  Sometimes, the buttons on the Scan Results Window are grayed out.

 

2. Microsoft XP Service Pack (SP2)

 

The Agilent 34825A BenchLink Data Logger II for 34970A application has not been tested on the Microsoft XP SP2 operating system.  The BenchLink Data Logger II application was released prior to this date.

The following list outlines resolved defects and product enhancements included in the release V2.00.02 of the 34825A BenchLink Data Logger II for Agilent 34970A. V2.00.02 was released for Web updates on Monday, November 15, 2004.

Clicking on HelpàBenchLink Data Logger II Help sometimes results in the error message “The system cannot find the file specified”.

 

Resolution: This problem may be a result of not rebooting after installing the application. The work-arounds are to reboot and retry the action, or to click on the context sensitive help button on another screen, then retry the main help button.
