Hello, Here is my little contribution to this nice & great lot of technical information. It's the operating manual of the R 209 MK II receiver. This is a rather compact vehicular shortwave communication receiver of British origin. There are in total 3 versions of this radio : the R 209, the R 209 MK II and the R 209/2/B. The main differences between these 3 models are mainly due to changes in power supply design (allowing for different power sources : 6-12-24VDC and/or 120-240 VAC). The first models were developed at the end of WW2 and the ones from later production remained in use until the early seventies. This manual is for the R 209 MK II receiver (around 1950) and comes from M.B.L.E., Brussels (Belgium) which produced several units of the 'MK II' and '/2/B' series.
