Nikon Capture 2.0.2 - Problems with previous versions that have been corrected

n       Nikon Capture 2 will no longer crash intermittently when the camera is connected to certain Macintosh computers including the iBook (Dual USB) .

n       The extreme left-hand side of the image will now be correctly reproduced when and unsharp mask is applied.

n       Number after the decimal point can now be entered into the exposure compensation text box in the Advanced RAW window.

n       New values entered in the Advanced RAW window tone compensation and color balance boxes, and in the Size / Resolution window will now be accepted without having to press the return key.

n       In cases where values in the Size / Resolution window are altered and batch processing is then carried out, the dimensions of RAW images photographed with the D1X will no longer be incorrectly altered when Use current settings (Preferences dialog box), or Apply current settings (Batch dialog box) is chosen.

n       General Preferences Settings for Size/Resolution overrides Batch Process Preferences.

(The selection of Use Current Settings (instead of Default) within the general Preferences menu causes the current values in the Size/Resolution tool window to be inappropriately applied to the images in the Batch Process. This happens regardless of the selection made in the Batch Dialogue box. This problem has not been corrected in this release of Nikon Capture.)

Notice for users of Nikon Capture v2.x Spanish Macintosh version only

1.     Changing the colour profile causes the application to crash.

If the working colour profile (in Preferences/CMS) is changed from sRGB to any other profile the software will prompt the user to restart Nikon Capture. During the restart an alert box appears displaying "iFalta un perfil de administracion del color! Compruebe las selectionnes de perfil en el panel CMS del dialogo Preferencias. Si esto non resuelve el problema, debera reinstalar Nikon Capture." If the OK button is pressed Nikon Capture will crash.

It is possible to upgrade your current version of Nikon Capture to eliminate this issue.  To do this, first, delete the Nikon Capture preference file from the operating system before installing this upgrade. This file can be found in the folder named 'Preferences'.
