Difference between Nikon View 5.0.0 and Nikon View 5.0.1

It has become possible to transfer images from a camera to a computer on which Mac OS X 10.1.3 is installed.

To Users of Nikon Coolpix 5000, 995, 885, 775, 990, and 880 Digital Cameras, and Nikon D1, D1x, and D1h Digital Cameras

Owing to the differences in function, Nikon View 5 can not coexist on the same computer with Nikon View earlier versions: Nikon View version 3, Nikon View DX, and Nikon View 4.  Before deciding whether to upgrade to Nikon View 5, be sure you understand the differences between Nikon View 5 and earlier versions.

Like Nikon View 4, Nikon View 5 can be used to transfer pictures to a computer.  In addition, it can be used to view or print pictures that have been saved to the computer hard disk after transfer and display them in automated slide shows.

Although Nikon View 5 can not be used to browse pictures on the memory card before transfer, you can select pictures for transfer beforehand using the camera’s protect or transfer marking options.  Nikon View 5 can not be used to resize of pictures during transfer.
