Network Config : TCP/IP
Protocol
Shows whether the Network Interface Board is configured to use the TCP/IP protocol.
IP Address
Input the IP address of the Network Interface Board.
If DHCP is turned on, the IP address acquired from the DHCP server is shown.
Subnet Mask
Input the subnet mask of the Network Interface Board. This is used to set a portion of the IP address as the network address.
If DHCP is turned on, the mask acquired from the DHCP server is shown.
Default Gateway Address
Input the default gateway address, which is the host/router used to communicate with other netoworks.
If DHCP is turned on, the address acquired from the DHCP server is shown.
Access Control Address / Access Control Mask
When an IP address is used and the number of workstations which can print must be limited, the access control
address and the access control mask can be used.
Using the concept of subnets, the computers allowed access to the printers can be limited by using the Access
Control Mask. See the table below for an example when 192.168.15.16. is assigned to the Network Interface Board
as the Access Control Address.
Access Control Mask | Addresses with access |
0.0.0.0 | xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx |
255.0.0.0 | 192.xxx.xxx.xxx |
255.255.0.0 | 192.168.xxx.xxx |
255.255.255.0 | 192.168.15.xxx |
255.255.255.255 | 192.168.15.16 |
Network Boot
Use this method to specify the address using the computer.
You can select one of the following methods include ARP+PING, RARP+TFTP, BOOTP and DHCP.

WINS
Select whether WINS name resolution for the Network Interface Board is enabled.
Primary WINS Server
Input the IP address of the primary WINS server.
If DHCP is turned on, the WINS server address is obtained from the DHCP server. In this case the Network Interface Board might be using a different address to that specified here. You can check which address is actually being used, check the system log under [Admin Info.]-[Ethernet board].
Secondary WINS Server
Input the IP address of the secondary WINS server.
Frame Type
Shows the frame type being used.
You can only use Ethernet II.
SNMP / LPR / RSH/RCP / DIPRINT / FTP / IPP
Select whether each protocol is enabled or disabled on the Network Interface Board.
IPP Timeout
When printing by IPP protocol, a printing timeout occurs when no print data has been sent after the amount of time specified here has elapsed (30-65535 seconds). The default setting is "900 seconds".
[Apply]
Click on this button to apply the new settings. If you change the settings on one screen, you must press the [Apply] button on that screen. Clicking on this button applies the settings for only the screen that it is on.
