The use of all supplied software must be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Software Licence signed by NAG and each site. Any request to use NAG software on a computer other than the one licensed must be referred to NAG (see Section 5).

The CD should autorun, if it doesn’t double click on setup.exe from Windows Explorer.
To install and use the software a licence key is required. This key is either a 30 day trial key or a permanent key. The key ties the use of the software to the machine on which the installation is performed.
When the application setup is invoked it determines whether to actually install the software or provide the information necessary for NAG to provide a suitable licence key.
If NAG has not already provided you with a licence key then click the ‘No’ button on the query ‘Have you a licence key ready to type in?’. On the next query you are asked what type of licence key you are applying for; the options are a permanent key (for sites that have licenced the product) or a 30 day trial key. You are then prompted for your name and contact details to enable a suitable key to be returned to you. Finally the procedure creates a file C:\NAG_DMC_Licence_Request.txt. This file should be sent to NAG who will generate an appropriate licence key and return it to you.
Once you have received the licence key invoke the application setup again. At the first query ‘Have you a licence key ready to type in?’ click the ‘Yes’ button. You will then be prompted to input your licence key; all characters of the key, including hyphens, are significant. Following two screens of informational material you are asked to select a disk directory into which the NAG Data Mining Components should be read; you can either accept the default location or use the browse button to select an alternative directory. The next screen enables you to select which parts of the components are to be installed on disk; as the installed size is less than 10Mb we recommend that all elements, both software and documentation, are installed to disk.
The installation procedure will add the library and include files paths to the LIB and INCLUDE environment variables respectively. This will simplify linking with the library and using the include files on the command line. It is recommended that you check that the installation has done this correctly. Under Windows NT, 2000 and XP, the environment variables can be viewed from the Control Panel; under Windows 95/98, the autoexec.bat file should be examined. Please note you may have to reboot the machine for the re-specified environment variables to take effect.
The following material should also be made accessible to users:
