This is the README file for the NAGWare f95 Compiler Release 5.0.

1. Installation

Installation instructions and requirements are provided in the file
   TECHINFO.

The installation may be tested by compiling and running the utility program
f90_util.f90, which is provided in the same directory as the compiler
library files. To compile and link this program, copy the source file to
   your working directory and type

       f95 -o f90_util f90_util.f90

(This assumes that the compiler binaries have been installed in a directory
included in your PATH environment variable.) The program (f90_util) may now
   be run.

2. Licensing

NAGWare f95 is a licence-managed product using FLEXLM (exceptionally, an
implementation will not have licence management; see the Machine-specific
Details section of the file TECHINFO). If you downloaded it from the web
you will also need to request a licence and may need to download the
   licensing software.

Full details on installation of the licensing software and the licence are
   in the file LICENCE.

The use of all supplied software must be in accordance with the terms and
conditions of the Software Licence signed by NAG and each site. Any request
to use NAG software on a computer other than the one licensed must be
   referred to NAG.

3. Debugger

This release contains a Fortran-95 debugger with a graphical user interface,
called upsf95. It will be installed into the same directory as the compiler
   driver.

4. Release Notes

Brief notes on the differences between NAGWare f95 4.2 and NAGWare f95 5.0.
are in the file RELNOTES in the doc subdirectory. The release notes are
given in full in LaTeX (RELNOTES.tex) and PostScript (RELNOTES.ps).

5. Extra documentation

The IEEE and Allocatable Technical Reports are described in TR.txt in the
   doc subdirectory.

   The html subdirectory contains
RELNOTES.html - HTML version of the Release Notes.
       TR.html - HTML version of TR.txt.
f95.html - HTML version of the f95 man page.
