After measuring a quantity across the selected sweep range, the analyzer can analyze the trace and determine various statistical results.

Measuring the x-dB compression point


To determine the x-dB compression point...

  1. Press the Sweep key in the Channel keypad or click Channel - Sweep to access the Sweep submenu.

  2. Click Sweep Type - Power. In the CW Frequency input field opened, enter the fixed stimulus frequency for the power sweep.

  3. Click Channel - Stimulus - Start and Channel - Stimulus - Stop to define the power sweep range.

  4. Click Trace – Measure and select an S-Parameter or a Ratio to be measured.

  5. Click Trace – Format and ensure that the trace format is dB Mag.

  6. Click Trace Funct – Trace Statistics – Compression Point to activate the compression point evaluation.

A marker is placed to the compression point. To refine the measurement, you can vary the Compression Value and the Evaluation Range in the Trace Statistics submenu.
