Downloads & Trials FAQs

Questions

Answers

  1. I downloaded the .tgz file, but it does not contain the documentation as described in the Installer's Note. How can I obtain the documentation? [Top]

To limit the download size, the pdf documentation of the library is not included in the .tgz file, but you can access the documentation online (the link is provide on each product download page). You can also download the documentation separately.

  2. I downloaded and installed the software, but when I attempt to use the software, I get an error indicating a licensing problem. What should I do? [Top]

In order to use the software, you have to request and install a license key. To request a license key, click on the 'trial request form' link on the download page for the specific implementation you installed. To install the license key, refer to the License Management section in the Installer's Note.

  3. Why am I getting error messages during the unzipping process after downloading the .zip file? [Top]

Your unzip utility must be able to preserve a directory structure. For winzip be sure to check 'Use folder names' box, for pkunzip uses the -d option.
NAG is planning to provide downloads as self-extracting archives which should eliminate these problems in the future.

  4. I have purchased the software. Now, how do activate my permanent license? [Top]

You need to request your perpetual/annual license key by contacting our NAG Response Centre. The License Management section in the Installer's Note describes the necessary information NAG needs in order to generate your license key.

  5. Does the download contain the full functionality of the software? [Top]

Yes, the download/trial contains the full functionality of the product. The software will cease to function when the trial period/key expires.

  6. What documentation should I consult before starting to use the software? [Top]

We recommend to consult the Essential Introduction, Installer's Note and Users' Notes.

  7. I installed your numerical library, how can I check if the software and license key are installed correctly? [Top]

The "General Information" section of the Users' Note contains references for accessing the library and for running example programs.
