    As RSVP becomes more widely deployed in the Internet, thought must be given to how users behind firewalls will be able to take advantage of RSVP outside of their Intranets. This paper gives an overview of RSVP and the issues with supporting it in a firewall product.

The following documentation and sample applications on using the WinSock2 QOS/ RSVP API are included after installing RSVP:

  • The RSVP API (RSVP Annex to WinSock2 API) is in the "Docs" subdirectory.
  • The GQOS (Generic QoS) Developer's Guide in the "Docs" subdirectory
  • Source files for sample applications using the PC-RSVP service provider and accompanying documents are in "rsvpsamp" and  "gqossamp" subdirectories.
  • A Test application (MSVC 4.x MFC) to test RSVP functionality is in the "TESTRSVP" subdirectory.
